They could not get the pco-scop to register a high enough vibration so they would not warranty the repair. I've read 18-NA-177 and the older 16-NA-175 and now have found that an updated version of 16-NA-175 has this cryptic advice: Important: Do NOT replace the torque converter or transmission assembly for this condition.
